A Motor cycle part

I designed this custom Sprocket Cover for a Harley Sportster. I was able to prove-out the part using the Cartesian Display with the integrated Rotary Table on a Bridgeport type kneemill. I made a few parts this way then it was off to the CNC shop for production.

The part is more than a Sprocket Cover, it supports a Link and the master Cylinder for the rear brake

The finished part

Results from the CNC shop. Note that I was able to send the CNC shop the same fixture I used on the kneemill and most importantly, the DXF file for extra savings. I had to make the fixture no matter what. This is a typical work flow using the Cartesian Display.
